Grand Hogmanay Dinner & Ceilidh

 

7.00 pm - Gather in the hotel foyer for a pre dinner drink

7.45 pm - Guests will be called to dinner by Pipe Major David Laird

8.00 pm - Dinner

Avocado Mousse

Set on a bed of dressed rocket, cherry tomatoes and basil salad

Paupiettes of Sole

Fresh fillet of sole with prawns poached in white wine and served with a cream and chive sauce

Fillet of beef Bourguignon

Best fillet of beef cooked in a red wine, shallot and mushroom sauce and set on a celeriac mash and served with fresh green vegetables

Double Chocolate Terrine

Layered dark and white chocolate terrine served with fruits of the forest berries

Freshly brewed Tea or Coffee

served with sweetmeats

(Vegetarian option available on request)

Dinner will then be followed by a ceilidh to the sound of the Benachally Ceilidh Band

Check in to the hotel any time after 3pm and savour the flavour of our home made mulled wine and mince pies.

Now there is just time to get the glad rags on for the pre dinner drinks reception in the foyer which starts at 7pm.

Our Pipe Major Mr David Laird will call all guests to dinner in the Baronial Hall at 7.45pm.Dinner will be served at 8pm.

Following dinner the party begins with the Benachally Ceilidh Band.

Remember to charge your glasses for the bells and the final sound of the bagpipes.

Happy New Year

Rise late this morning as breakfast will be served in our Oak Restaurant from 10–11.30am.

After breakfast the rest of the day is at you own disposal.

This is a great chance to explore the wonderfull Perthshire scenery or for the shopoholic why not visit Perth

and grab yourself a bargain at the sales.

Dinner this evening will be served in our Oak Restaurant (table reservation strongly advised).

Terms & Conditions

All festive booking require a £50 per room booked non-refundable booking deposit at the time of booking. The final payment is to be made in full at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival date. Any further balances outstanding will be payable in full upon departure. The prices quoted are per person based on two persons sharing a room and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate and are subject to alterations should the rate of VAT change. The Birnam Hotel will be under no liability for any loss, damage or injury to the client’s property or the property of the client’s guests. You will be liable for the cost of repairs carried out as a result of any damage caused to any part of the hotel premises by negligence, wilful act or default of any person invited by you or on your behalf to the hotel. You are advised to arrange holiday cancellation insurance. Alcoholic beverages of any kind are not permitted to be brought into the hotel by guests or clients unless this has been previously agreed in writing.  In all cases a corkage charge will be made.
